Went to Richard to patent a pretty complicated device. We had our initial consultation and it went well. When he filed my patent, it looked good. Then, as I sought investors, a few off them had their own patent attorneys look at the application and told me ALL the things wrong with it. I would immediately inform Richard what I heard and he told me that none of them know what they're talking about. It was pretty upsetting to hear other people tell you that you paid a patent attorney for poor work. I mean, I was really angry with this company! Then the patent gets granted and I feel stupid!
Richard is pretty confident in his work and I now see that he has every reason to be. I'm glad I came to him and should I ever need another patent, I will not doubt this man for a second!
He's a nice guy, he's painfully honest, and he's going to get the job done as best as it can get done...it seems.

I understand there are no guarantees when applying for a patent. In many cases, the Patent Office won't see it our way, or do what we want them to do. It is for this reason that I am glad I had Goldstein Patent Law on my side. - Before I found Goldstein Patent Law it was so tough to get straight answers to simple questions. Other firms seemed less interested in knowing what you needed and more interested in getting a check. It is such an amazing resource to be able to talk to Mr Goldstein and his staff, as I develop my products. He and his staff are Awesome. I hired Mr. Goldstein to advise me on a patent and trademark issue and he was responsive - had my answer immediately, he was dead on with his advice and he told me the real deal - even though it was not really the answer I wanted to hear. He could have made a case of it and charged me a lot of money but he was honest and forthright and saved me a lot of time and money. I also went out and bought his book "The ABA Consumer Guide to Obtaining a Patent" which I found clear, concise and written by an attorney who knows his patent law. You know when someone is approved by the American Bar Association to publish under their name he has to know what he is talking about. I also like that Mr. Goldstein is approachable, listens then gives advice and input in language an entrepreneur can understand and relate to. Too many lawyers practice "lawyer speak" which serves only to confuse us and often is murky advice. This lawyer is a really good choice for anyone who needs a patent or trademark or related advice. -
